A mud is a world designed inside a computer where a person can
socialize, accomplish goals, solve puzzles, add new areas to the world, and
generally have a lot of fun. MUCK, MUSH, MUX, DGD, YAMA, MUSE, MUG, Ogham and
MOOS are variants of muds. Muds usually have a central theme, listed here are
muds that are designed around dragon themes.
For more information about
muds read through the MUD FAQs and General
Information document collection.
To connect to a mud the preferred method is to use a mud client. You can also
use a program called telnet to connect to muds, however, when using telnet you
can experience problems with text being out of alignment.
