The Alt.fan.dragons Usenet news group!

Usenet news is basically a huge bulletin board. There are thousands of subjects you can select from. Alt.fan.dragons got its start in usenet news.

For a more indepth description of usenet check out About Usenet in the internet zen book.

How usenet news works:

When you get into a news group you can read what is currently being discussed through the messages that have been left there by others. Once someone places or posts a message to a news group it stays there for three days to a week before it disappears. Due to the way the news system works, not everyone sees the same posts in the same order, nor even the same posts on the same day.

Read the Alt.fan.dragons Frequently Asked Questions information file before posting to learn about the suggested educate and methods of posting to the group.

The Citizens of Alt.Fan.Dragons

Here you can find desciptions of almost any member of alt.fan.dragons. Although quite out of date, most of the listed gone, and new people not in it. It is still quite informative about how the citizens of AFD see each other and themselves. Each profile is written by the person the profile describes and is copywrite themselves.
